I remember Alice giving groups of students including myself, from Bolton Street, tours of the house in Henrietta Street back in the early 1980s.
Her dedication to the restoration project and obvious zest for her artistic work generally was really admirable.
RIP Alice - Thanks for the great work.
Sincere sympathy to all the Hanratty family on the untimely passing of Alice. She was a very talented and remarkable person. I knew her first through my connection with Sé and the Geraghty family and later was privileged to serve with her on the Curatorial Committee in the Print Museum where she always had incisive insights to projects and enlivened the proceeding with her humour and wit. In later years, I had occasion to visit here her frequently in her house and really enjoyed her company and opinions on current affairs. It was a privilege to have known Alice and we extend our sympathies to her extended family.

I was a print student of Alice's back in the 90's, she was such an inspiration to me. Always welcoming with her time, very funny and she had an edge to her that instantly drew me to her. I never told her how much she meant to me during my college years, and I'm sure there are many more who felt the same. Rest well Alice and thank you for the memories. x
