I was in the dog house once for tearing her dress in a game of ring a ring rosy. The good old times!

Sincere condolences to Alice's family. I lodged in Alice's home in Parnell st from 1969 to 1972. She was a wonderful landlady and friend. Thinking of you.

Margaret - Thinking of you dearly and the wonderful memories of being in Parnell St. I haven't met Alice for a while and was wondering how she was. It was a special gift everytime we met, Alice was so friendly, kind and a real inspiration of her joy for life. Always smiling, always so friendly. I only heard of her passing today, as I was away.
May her beautiful talented Spirit be Playing Golf, Tennis, Squash, and Singing in the Heavenly Choir. RIP

Dear John, JJ,Margaret, Paul,Aileen I was so sad to hear of the passing of your mum. Such a lovely lady, she always welcomed me into your house and also into the musical society and for a short stint in the cathedral choir before I transferred to Folk Group as I’m pretty sure Aileen did too. Paul I remember calling for you at yours many times and your mum trying to glean info out of me about our mischief plans for the day.
Margaret I remember your Rose of Tralee performance with your mum. Such a lovely experience to remember now.

I haven’t lived in Thurles for over 30 years. I remember Alice from the Musicals. My condolences on the loss of such an elegant and beautiful woman, who cannot be forgotten once you’ve met her.

My immediate memory of Alice was the fun we had backstage in the musicals. She had a great sense of humour, I just remember her as always laughing. We played mixed doubles in the tennis too, more laughing! What a varied and full life and an indomitable spirit.
