I am so sorry that Lally is gone, though I know she is at peace and her great faith will have helped her on her journey, I also know she will be greatly missed. I am so grateful to have known her and her radiant smile. I have such great memories of all the Stephens nights spent in Newbridge and visits to Galway and the wonderful welcome Lally always had for whoever arrived at her door. Take care and looking forward to seeing you all very soon.

Sincere sympathy to the Bartley Family on the passing of Lally.

For more than 65 years, Lally played a huge role in the lives of the Kelly family. Visits to Rockbarton Rd. were always an adventure for all the nieces and nephews, and their descendants. Lally was always attentive to their needs, interested in their lives, and supportive of their futures. My thoughts at this time are especially with my mother (Frances), her sisters Maureen and Anne, and her brother Sean. I wish I could be in Galway this weekend, but sadly that is not possible. Lally will always be in my thoughts and in the thoughts of my family. May she rest in peace.

Our deepest sympathies to the entire Bartley family. Lally was a very special person to me. She took me under her wing when I was little. I spent many happy hours making mud pies with my friend Mary Molloy who lived two doors down from her. Gardening with Lally and then being rewarded with freshly baked treats and her infamous whipped egg yolk drink which she knew I loved. Sitting with her by the fire in the winter listening while she read me stories. She bought me games and kept them in her house for us to play with when I visited which was probably 4 times a week while I still lived with my Nana and Poppa in St.Marys on Rockbarton Road. Then at least once a week once I moved in with my Dad in Kingston, all through National school we were buddies. Then I became a teenager and only visited every few months, how we live to regret teenage decisions. Whenever I was home from America a visit to Lally had to he made. She always wanted to know what I was doing and how I was. Letters exchanged regularly. Then I married, had kids and life got busy but my treasured memories of a childhood well spent always include my special times with my dear Lally.
Rest in Peace my friend and may God hold you in the palm of his hands until we meet again.
