I send my sincere sympathy to John Catherine and the extended family on the death of your dear mother Alice. I was fortunate to have had the friendship of Alice in our younger days. She was sincere genuine and funny. I will share one memory with you. I went to a ceile in O'Meara's hotel with my two friends Alice Treacy and my kilkenny friend Kitty Butler. At the end of the night kitty and me we walked home without Alice because Alice met John Ryan and the rest is history.
