Alisdair was the most wonderful manager, collegue and friend you could ask for and it was a privilege to work with him. He lit the room up when he entered with his contagious laugh. His patience, kindness and humour made working in Avvio the most wonderful experience. I will never forgot how he took the time to help and mentor me through my role and was always there to help others. My thoughts are with the whole family in this heartbreaking time 🤍

I have worked with Alisdair for the past 10 years. I got to know him well and had the privilege to see him grow into the amazing person he became. A friend to everyone, loyal to a fault, loved his partner, his children, the dogs, and the community.

Personally he was a fierce friend, a loyal colleague and always tried to build me up. I will miss him sorely.

My thoughts are with his family during this incredibly difficult time, and I wish you all the strength in the world to face this ordeal.

You could always hear him laughing and talking no matter where you were in the building. I worked with him for many years and he was always there to help you out with any issues you had and always took the time to sit with you to explain the problem. I am so very sorry for your loss Sarah, Holly, Leon and all of Alisdair's family. I met Alisdair on his first day in Avvio when neither I nor he knew exactly what his job was or who he was supposed to report to so he drank a lot of coffee that day.
He went from that to becoming the Onboarding Director such was his drive.
We had some really good laughs down through the years and when he laughed everyone knew it.
He will be missed for sure and I can't begin to imagine what you are all feeling, just know he will always be a big part of the Avvio family and story.
