To my Godfather Frank, to Philipa, Jane and family, I was so very sorry to hear of Alison’s passing. I have a lovely memory of a lunch Alison hosted for me and my wife Fiona back in 2001 to celebrate our upcoming wedding. She was so very generous and went to such trouble to make the occasion extra special. I often think of that day fondly and of Alison’s kindness.
