I never had the pleasure of meeting Alison in person but i got to know her through stories told by Janet while in work. She sounded like quite a person who will be hugely missed by her wonderful family who loved her so much.

So very shocked and saddened to hear of Alison's death. My deepest condolences to her wonderful, large, loving family who loved and supported her so well. I was privileged to work closely with Ali in Heatherview, when she first came to Cheeverstown. Although she went through hard times there with the death of her father Jimmy and her friend Mary Jo, I have rich, abiding memories of Alison being the very real person she was, who formed a real, close and warm relationship with those of us around her. Such a hilarious character, who was sassy, smart, stylish, compassionate and also very loving and tender. We had our moments when things seemed immovable but we always found a way...usually laughing about it afterwards. Alison made such a difference to my working days at Heatherview and I'm so glad I got to know her. Later on, I was glad to see her so settled in Dunmore with the glamour taken to a whole new level. I raise a glass to you Ali. You were fully yourself and you left an indelible Alison-shaped imprint on my heart. Love Rachel xxxx

Dearest Alison,

I have so many fond memories of you sitting at the Pardy kitchen table. You are the only person I know who would be eating breakfast and dinner at the same time, while watching intently that desserts were divided equally for everyone. Your laugh was both infectious and contagious and no joke was too inappropriate! You brought us together as a family in more ways than I can imagine and we will all miss you so much.
