Devastated to hear the heartbreaking news that the beautiful Alma has passed. We first met over fifteen years ago working together in the West Cork Hotel, and from the very first day we met, I loved being around her. She was kind, warm, and always knew how to make people laugh. A few years older than me, I looked up to her so much.

I have so many lovely memories of Alma. I remember going to Cork shopping together when Leo was only a toddler, she had the most incredible eye for style. I was so proud of her when she later opened her own store in Skibbereen. I got so many beautiful outfits from her over the years, and she would always insist on giving me a free accessory to go with the outfit, which was so typical of her generous, thoughtful nature.

More than anything, she adored her three children and it was clear they were the centre of her world. ❤️

Even though I’ve been living away and hadn’t seen her in some time, Alma has always held a special place in my heart. She was the kind of person who lit up every room she walked into, someone who made people feel seen, welcomed, and uplifted. I am truly devastated by her sudden loss.

I know her kindness and strength will live on through her three beautiful children.

It was a privilege to have known Alma.

Alma, you will be forever in my heart. May you rest in peace. 🙏
