Sad to hear of Alo's passing and our sincere condolences to the whole family.

Sending our sincere condolences to the Brady Family. Alo was a lovely man who was very supportive of the archive, and visited many times telling us all his memories of his days in ESB.

My deepest sympathies to the Brady family on Alo’s sad passing. A great man for Edenderry, Offaly and indeed Sligo GAA.
A former teammate, of which we were the last men standing, of the great 51 team. He will be sadly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
May his gentle soul rest in eternal peace.

Sincere condolences to Brady Family. I got to know Alo when compiling a book on rural electrification and we kept in touch every since. He wrote a great story for 'Then There Was Light'. Condolences to Kieran, Conor, Ian, and Shira on your Dad’s passing. I first met Alo in 2001 when I started working at Dublin South FM. He always supported me, he was one of my three wise men in the radio station. I was on a street in Sorrento Italy once when I met him, larger than life. After I left Dublin South FM Alo stayed in touch with a phone call now and then. He was some man and I will miss him greatly. Rest in peace Alo.

Sincere condolences to Phyl, Kieran, Conor, Ian and Shira on the loss of Alo. I’ve great memories of Alo as a supporter of De La Salle rugby teams in the 80’s when I played with Conor and Ian. He was a stalwart presence on the sideline and always had a smile on his face. He also added to any post match celebrations and I remember him giving a great rendition of the “Ballad of Joe Hill” after an ESB rugby match!
Alo, you’ll be fondly remembered!

I had the greatest respect for him for the many years we were acquainted, since I taught his sons at De La Salle Churchtown and then latterly when he brought great fun to the Donnybrook Active Retirement. Sincere condolences on Alo’s passing.
I was very fond of him. He was very personable and pleasant and was well liked by all in the organisation. Back in the early 70s as a young rookie on the executive of the ESBOA at a time of industrial unease, I was initially impatient at Alo’s chairmanship, thinking that he was allowing endlessly repetitive and circular speeches and grandstanding to unnecessarily drag out meetings. It took me a while to realise that by letting the hotbloods and the young warriors have their say and vent their anger he was reducing tension, calming matters and establishing better relations all around.
On the last occasion on which I saw him he was providing music at a funeral Mass in my local church. A very pleasant voice and a very pleasant man. May he rest in peace!
