I'm totally shocked to here That Amanda passed away. Didn't know her personally but lm a regular swimmer in Kells. Always friendly and she was great with teaching the kids how to swim. You could see that the kids loved her..Heaven has got an Angel. She will be truly missed but never forgotten. Rip Amanda.

I was very sad to hear the news about Amanda’s death today when I returned to Kells pool after a long absence . Although we weren’t personally acquainted I knew Amanda to see and talk to since 2007 .
Years ago , she encouraged my young daughter and her friends to the deep end to dive and guided them with the pole safely back to their depth . This gave them confidence and a thrill which I now appreciate more than ever.
She was a beautiful swimmer herself and shared her talent . generously.
She exuded dedication to her job and made a difference.
