Hi Anne, times like this are impossible to figure out, i have great, fun memories meeting up at the various sessions during the years in Dubai. After that working with Ambrose on a few ferry flights. take care and be strong over the coming while, there is no rule book in dealing with this type of sudden and painful loss. its a time to look back at the great times and the light and positivity that Ambrose brought to every single person that had the pleasure of meeting him. apologies i couldnt make the funeral today, i will raise a glass tonight.

My heart goes out to you Anne, Aoibhin, Niamh, Cillian, Philo & extended family on such a tragedy that Ambrose was taken at such a young age. I watched the funeral Mass & what a life this man lived, certainly everyday as his last it seems. I grew up a stones throw from Ambrose & his dad & my dad grew up together and were great friends & I did from time to time have the privilege of visiting his homestead. Bless you Philo. When I bumped into Ambrose in Weston Airfield in the 1980's he asked me to keep secret his intention of earning the Private Pilots License. However, on my return to Ireland in the 1990's he was openly plying his new trade as a Commercial Airline Pilot. The Ryanair Christmas family outing of 1997, was to Bournemouth Airport, on returning to Dublin he invited me for beverage, but I declined, as I had my santa's elves with me. Yesterday, I read the tragic news, and traveled to the nearby Airport Mortuary, but all were gone. So a promise, a skip and a miss. Ar dheis Dé go raibh sé.
