Very sad to hear of Ambroses passing. He is fondly remembered from our time working together in The Belmont Knock many yrs ago! He fondly spoke of his grandchildren when we would meet. Sending sympathy to you Caroline and Seamus and your brother Gerard and all the Dunne family at rhis sad time.

In his retirement, Ambrose kept his very accomplished chef's hand in by allowing our catering staff to enjoy the staff Christmas dinner by cooking a feast for all. He also helped us occasionally otherwise. It was a pleasure to see him come in the door as we all found him pleasant and interesting and an unfailingly polite man, a gentleman. It sad to see his passing, our condolences to his family but we think comfort in a life well lived.

My sincere condolences to the Dunne and Costello families on the recent passing of Ambrose. I only knew him for eight years or so but we had a common interest in plants and garden in Cimin Mor. He was also an enthusiastic member of the active retirement group in the Clybaun Hotel where he "strutted his stuff" in the aqua aerobics classes every week. Rest in peace Ambrose 🙏
