We have wonderful memories of spending our young adulthood in Vincent’s Kenpo Karate Club. Amby and Ann were inspiring, so welcoming and encouraging to all of us.
He was a great mentor and we developed a skills set that lasts a lifetime.

I was deeply saddened to hear of Amby’s passing. My sincere condolences to Steven, Sandra and Derek on the loss of your dad. Amby was an amazing teacher, coach and mentor, and he taught wisdom, calm appraisal of circumstance, and self-discipline, which applied to all aspects of life, especially the more challenging. Amby had a positive effect on my life, and I have lived in recognition of and with gratitude for the skills he gave me, always with humour and patience. Time spent in training, and as an IKKU member was time well spent. Memories are happy ones.

I am so sorry for your loss, and the pain you are feeling now. What a great man and husband and father. When I was home I would just drop in to say hi. Amby would always open the door if he was home and we would sit and have a cup of tea. I loved out talks and his great advise. My sincere condolences.
