Always a great woman to chat and tell a story...Stacia was a big part of what makes Saltmills.

To the Family of Anastasia
James & I are so saddened about the passing of our sweet friend. We met her several years ago when we made a trip to SaltMills to get some information on his Father and Grandfather. We went into her little store and was introducing ourselves and she said “James Barry, we have been waiting for you for ten years”. We broke down in tears. We immediately fell in love with her, she shared with James all she knew about his Father. We kept in touch with her though cards and letters for years. Each time we would go we would visit with her. We would take her out to eat and as we walked she would hold my arm. She became a peace of my heart. She loved me and i loved her.
James visited with her a couple months ago when he made a trip there. I could not go and i hate it so much, one of the main reasons i like to go is to see Anastasia. I will never forget her, she was a special person.
She will be missed by all

Stasia was a very important person to all of us who lived in Saltmills and her death comes as a shock to us all. She will live long in our memories for the service she gave her community and to the kindness she showed us throughout her life. My deep sympathies to Seán, Eddie, Eileen, Anne and Bernadette, to Stasia's nieces and nephews, and to the wider Finn and Kinsella families. May her gentle soul rest in peace.
