Very sorry Patsy @ family on the death of Andy. He was great fun and a pleasure to play cricket with. He was always full of stories and always the life of the party. Very sad to hear of Andy's passing. I have such happy memories of being in his company in CY over many years and in Trinity when he did his degree with such enthusiasm for all aspects of College life - even captaining the 2nds one season. He was great fun and will be missed by all who knew him. RIP A.V

Sorry to hear of Andys death. He was a great raconteur and always fun to be with and a very stylish batsman as well.
Patsy & Family
Our sincerest sympathy to you on the death of Andy. I first met Andy in 1952 shortly after he joined CYM cricket club. On and off the cricket pitch he was a genuine character, good competitor, always played the game in the right spirit and even enjoyed the afters better. He excelled at sport including hockey, soccer and even an occasional game of rugby and even until the onset of his illness thought he was too young for bowls. His captaincy of the cricket club in 1970 is full of many great memories including a cup fixture with Old Belvere and a league fixture with Merrion Known as the run out king particularly with Greg where he succeeded on 3 successive weekeds He could still see the lighter side. They are both now at peace together but Andy,s memory will live. RIP Andy., .

A cricket legend and in a time that we need characters he will be sadly missed. Rest in peace Andy.
My deepest sympathies to Patsy, Orla, Paul, Rosemary, Barry, and Families. Andy was always there with a smile, laughter, a song, and a story to tell. Andy and Patsy and Family were very welcoming to me and my Family when Barry and I started dating.
I will cherish our times on walks to Glendalough and Tic Knock. I got to see and visit nearly all of the Counties of Ireland. I got to see his Cricket Club near Angela’s Home. Sports were a big part of his life. He was also a Mature Student at Trinity College with a Degree in Theology Studies.
I Love Andy and I know he is in Heaven now looking down on everyone and singing his songs with his hands near his chest getting in character.
Andy will truly be missed here on Earth but his spirit will live on forever in our Hearts..
God Bless Andrew Cullen.

Dear Patsy my deepest sympathy to you and your family on the death of Andy. Orla very kindly let me know and I have been praying for both of you. As I’m unable to attend Andy’s funeral I hope to be able to view it on Monday Dv my memory is of a smiling Andy so content and why not as you were always so supportive. Knowing this you will have great peace when the rawness of your loss begins to dissipate. A big virtual HUG. AILBHE
To Rosemary , Orla and all your family . My deepest condolences on the loss of your Dad . May he rest in peace .
My sincere sympathy to Patsy and the family on Andy's passing. I have great memories of playing cricket (and having a few pints!) with Andy. He was such a super character and always saw the humour in a situation. We were on tour once and the hotel proprietor asked him was he a resident. Andy said "No, I'm a Catholic!"
He was also a real competitor and was very knowledgeable about the game. I declared once when he was in the 90's- he never forgave me and reminded me of it regularly. I'll miss our chats down at the white wall in CY.

Such a gentleman and a legend. I remember him opening the batting for the 3rds in his 60s and hitting the bowler in to the sightscreen. RIP AV

Very sad to hear of Andy's passing, he was a great character and a pleasure to be in company with. I was fortunate to know Andy through CYM Cricket club, who have lost a great servant, and also was in Trinity whilst Andy studied there. So many happy memories of Andy. Rest in Peace
Played many a hockey match against Andy when he was with Railway. A deadly opponent but would enjoy a friendly pint afterwards! Sincere condolences to Andy's family.
Deepest sympathies to Patsy and family on this sad news. I have great memories of Andy mainly from our playing days at CYM CC. These memories include both on the field of play and afterwards relaxing over a pint or two. Andy was always ready to break into song and his rendition of Mona Lisa was his party piece. We enjoyed great tour memories also.
