Rest in Eternal Peace with Rose we will miss you from St Kilian's church both of you coming to Mass there over the years
Brid (Minister of the Eucharist)
It was a pleasure to live opposite and get to know both Andy and Rose for more than 20 years after they moved to their home in the ‘Dublin Mountains’.

Andy’s warm smile, constant good humour and friendliness will be sorely missed, as will his interesting and entertaining anecdotes and observations about Dublin in the ‘rare auld times’ of Kennedy’s Bread and Brendan Behan.
Andy was the type of person who you always felt the better for meeting, which was a rare gift that he possessed.

Although we were sad when Andy left the area, we were pleased that he thoroughly enjoyed his new surroundings – even though it meant him becoming a ‘Northsider’.

May Andy rest in peace now that he has followed his beloved Rose.

Yellow Roses
A host of yellow roses create a warm, sunny glow,
To elegantly frame a homely bungalow.
Their rich colours evoke the warmth of Summer days.
Roses carefully tended– like the children she lovingly raised.

The black and white photograph on the wall,
Reminds and helps to recall,
Happy family times,
Bedtime stories and nursery rhymes.

Though the rose petals will inevitably fall,
Before cold winter calls,
The beauty of the bloom still stays,
Vivid in the memory, even in darker days.
