Worked with Andy unit c in control back in the 90s. Shocked to hear of his Death. Only heard about it today 8th September. Condolences to his family. RIP Andy.
Sincerest sympathy Liz & Family Members on the passing of your beloved Andy.
While in Drogheda in the late 60’s- early 70’s enjoyed banter with Andy on many occasions ,
not alone when walking from Brookville on occasions to work, he GS, I ,District Court.
A vivid memory of Andy directing traffic at four xroads at top of Shop St junction was a sight to behold. Never lost momentum despite heavy traffic at busy times- no modern traffic aides then & at times would whip out the evening paper to get a glance at National headlines while moving the traffic on.
A genial, jovial giant.
RIP Andy.
