Dear Sian, Jimmy, Anne, James, Catherine, Chloe and Maddy,

My deepest condolences to you all and to all who loved Andy deeply.

I remember vividly the first time I met Andy at the very first Dublin Pride Run - who could forget his bright smile, his exceptional friendliness and his trademark denim shorts. He immediately made me feel welcome and connected in the club. In his time as chairman, I felt proud to be a frontrunner.

What became so precious to Andy towards the end - time - was the gift he always gave others. Wherever I met Andy, whether in a cafe, in a nightclub or walking by the river, he always had time for a proper chat. As buoyant as his energy was, he was always right there, present and connecting. He made so many special connections in his lifetime as to fill a century of living. I remember how happy he was when he returned from his travels - a dream come true.

He adored you Sian, his family and his friends. May Andy's indomitable spirit give you strength through these days. His spirit was strongly felt at the beautiful funeral service you created for him.

May he rest in bliss and in peace. X

Over the years I saw the battles he fought. He didn't seem to shy away from fighting for what was important to him, be that his health, his right to love and his dignity. Very inspirational.

I have worked with Andy for over 20 years, but he was more than a colleague he was our friend. He will be sadly missed. Always smiling and so caring. Had many a fun night out and always the dancing. Deepest condolences to Andy’s husband Sian, his family and our mutual friends. We go all the way back to AOL and though we were in and out of each other’s lives, I’ll always treasure my fond memories of him. Tin Man to my Dorothy, I’ll see you on the other side 🌈
Dear Sian, Jimmy, Anne, James & Catherine
Deepest condolences to you all and I am sorry I can’t be there in person for the service.
Who would have guessed a chance meeting outside a bar while we were each on holiday in San Francisco would have led to a 15+ year friendship. We had many more holidays and weekend visits together and I’ll never forget how supportive Andy was throughout many difficulties in my life but particularly during COVID lockdowns when he would call to check on me regularly. He meant the absolute world to me and I’m so lucky to have known him and met all of you as you’ve all also been so kind to me.
Rest well my friend.
Love,
Siobhan

To Sian, James, Catherine, Jimmy & Anne – My deepest condolences to you all. I worked with Andy in Irish Life, and he was more of a friend than a colleague. He always made me laugh. He threw wonderful dinner parties for us (that Nutella & peanut butter cheesecake…!!!) and we spent many a time chatting over a ‘one drink’ that turned into many, resulting in many laughs and us generally putting the world to rights.
His resilience through the fight with MND was incredible, and his spirits were always high when we visited him either at home or in the great care of the hospice.
I feel truly honoured and blessed to have known and been a friend of Andy's - I'll always carry many many lovely memories of him.
With love to you all.
My deepest sympathy to you all on the passing of Andy. Taken way to young, it really is heart breaking, may you all have strength at this very difficult time. I will always remember his big smile and pure lovely nature over the years. Rest in peace Andy.

Heartfelt condolences to Andy's husband Sian, to his parents and family and to his many friends. He was such a fun and welcoming member of the group and he will be sorely missed and mourned by man. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam uasal.
My sincere condolences to Sian, James and the Chambers family. I had the pleasure of working with Andy for many years here in Irish Life where he is universally regarded as a wonderful colleague, worker and most of all a lovely genuine person. He would always volunteer for anything needed and of course was a big part of all social events. Most of the time he was the ringleader in getting them up and running. Andy has so many friends here and will be dearly missed. Rest in Peace Andy.
My deepest sympathies to James, your mum and dad, Catherine and the girls on the sad passing of Andrew. Taken too soon. May he rest in peace.
Our sincere condolences to Sian and the Chamber family.
I met Andy through the Dublin Frontrunners Club where he was the Chairperson. Andy was very committed to the club and a great chairperson and I would like to thank him Andy for all his work for the club. When I spoke to friends during the last days, they remarked how welcome Andy made them feel to the club.
I was very sad to hear that Andy was so sick and that he had to suffer so much. Life can be cruel and unfair.
It touched me very much how convincing and passionate Andy spoke during the radio interview last year and I was very impressed by his campaign so that Sian could travel to Ireland. I thought Andy brought out the best of the Irish thought that campaign.
May Andy rest in peace.
Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam

Sincere sympathy to Sian and the Chambers family. Andy was a special friend to Neil. We will always treasure the holiday we spent with them. John & Bridget McHale
I met Andy around 2000 after PTSB & Irish Life merged. We worked together in the Operations team for a few years and he was a great person to have on the team. He just got on with stuff, got things done and was a brilliant techie. I relied on him hugely and he brought a great sense of energy with him. But he was much more of a friend than a colleague and just the best craic ever. He was the person who dragged you up to dance at the Christmas party and regularly helped out organising events and races. The one thing I've noticed about Andy in the past year is how unstoppable he was. After he got the wheelchair, we just had to pick a wheelchair-accessible pub for our nights out. When he had trouble with his hands, he asked someone to change his devices to be voice-activated. Even when he was suffering, he never forgot his friends and made time for visits, chats and texts. It's hard to say just how much he will be missed. My thoughts are with his husband and family at this time.
Rest in Peace Andy.
