I've thought of Andy since I heard this sad news.
During the past week a memory of his shy & friendly presence would just crop up. He had a gentle & open way about him and was very welcoming to newcomers to town. Condolences to his family and freinds at this time. So sorry for your loss.

So many happy memories of Andy through the years, always that mellow smiling presence at every gig, every cultural event; he appreciated anything alternative and Kilkenny was so much richer from all the events he organised here. But most of all I'll miss his friendship; he was always there for chats, so easy to talk to. RIP Andy

I met Andy in San Franciso in 1997 with his Kilkenny friends and he became an integral member of the " San Fran Gang".
He was so kind, courteous, warm with a genuine smile.
I will always remember him.
I met him a few times through the years and he was always so lovely.
He loved his mum so much and always spoke so fondly of her.

Sue having returned from Andrews mass to day you couldnt but be proud through your tears of sadness of all the lovely tributes that were paid to Andrew to day from his friends far and near.You knew of all his lovely qualities and its all down to you he was so well reared over the years ye had a unique bond.. He was taken far too young knowing he was so loved and respected and so talented think of him with immence pride and your love for him. Andy's mum, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I've known Andy since 1991. I remember you coming into the Shell Station on the Castlecomer Road, before dropping Andy to Kilkenny College, I used to work there. I loved spending time with him. We enjoyed some great nights out. He always greeted me with a smile that I will never forget. Andy was always so pleasant, kind and thoughtful and that I know is a credit to you, his mum, who he loved dearly.

I met and hung out with Andy (and friends) during the year I lived in Kilkenny (2000). He welcomed me into their group and was always up for a laugh. I have wonderful memories of the fun times we had hanging out hanging at Foulksrath Castle and around town. My condolences to his mom, family and all the friends he made along the way. What a character he was. Like for many, we shared a love of music and gigs and Andy was always clued up and so broad minded in that field. I still have a mixtape he made me. Up for adventure, hilariously stubborn and a great laugh with a beautiful smile - many shall feel this loss. Slán.
