Andrew you were a wonderful work colleague. Always smiling and happy and this was infectious to all around you! In particular I remember how you helped me with a tough decision. Hadn’t seen you in a long time but I never forgot you. My prayers are for you and your family at this tough time. My heart sank when I heard of your passing! But I’m more the better off for having knowing you!

I worked with Andrew in TU Dublin / DIT for a number of years.
He was always a pressure to meet and chat with ,no task was a problem. May Andrew rest in peace.

Andrew and I always had paths crossing over several Era’s, we were Friends, CB Radio, Walkinstown, Pirate Radio, the beginnings of the Internet and broadcasting and then the Malaysian era. Each one had epic experiences and memories.

Andrew was extremely intelligent and always ahead of technology and gave me an MP3 Player when the technology was unheard of, with “Boards of Canada” preloaded on. In what I hope was a small sign, I heard them played on the radio just as David broke the news to me. The radio heads have all been in contact, regretting the news and sharing war stories and great memories of Andrew and David of the Era.

All our condolences to, Nancy and Joe, David, Joanne, Sue and Louisa and to Hairi and all friends suffering the loss.

My mind goes back to a Summer Night around 1984, Andrew is setting up Centre Radio and playing a favourite song, The Kane Gang, The Closest Thing to Heaven.

To Joanne, Louisa & all the Hartnett family, my deepest sympathy on the death of Andrew. May he rest in peace ✝️

I was shocked to hear of Andrew's sudden passing. Having worked with Andrew for some years D.I.T, I tell others about him as an example of the kind of colleague that you really want to work alongside. Andrew was smart, diligent, helpful and a real pleasure to deal with. He will be greatly missed.
