Deirdre, we were so sorry to learn of your Dad's passing. May he rest in peace after 98 years of a very fulfilled life . He is probably searching for good music and maybe a motorbike in Heaven!! He has left a treasure trove if happy memories to sustain you in the days ahead and all the care and love given to him will be a comfort as well. Leaba i measc na naingeal go mbeidh aige.

MISTER Mangan, your intense zest for life, do-it-now M.O., fix-it-quick toolbox, worksuit & various trade-craft accoutrements, many micro-efficient/ alternative modes of transport, friends from all walks of life, all ages, all necks of all woods, were epic. THANK YOU for being the most wonderful neighbour! For not judging our #sleepingbeauty palace, for coming to us when the threats came (tho, armed with that poker, in truth we (& Gardai) felt more safe with YOU than you could ever with us!) - for your gentlemanly curiosity, old-school wit, laughs that burst or shook you, wisdom of so much love, loss & lived experience. For the refreshing conviction there is not only a future when we pass, but that the universe is imbued with deep meaning, harmony + purpose - your were so sure of your footing as part of this tapestry: mystical, spiritual, ghostly-&-great. Thanks for teaching us this rather complex notion with the simplest demonstrations, declarations & explanations. We send honours to you, your parents, grandparents, lovely daughters, family & incredible friends with gratitude & respect. We shared lots of values - loved foxes, hated fences, loved Sinatra, hated sensationalism, loved stories, hated artifice, loved logic, hated "clowns". - Tho never in the mood to accept a cuppa or slice of anything in in this house - I expect the crowds gathered to meet you on the far shore have plenty to tickle your fancy!
