I first met Andy in The Yacht Club in 1968.
As we both had an interest in angling we struck up a friendship.
Of course Andy was the better angler, as he was in shooting, snooker & golf.

He was a popular person and made friends wherever he went.

I will miss him very much and won’t get used to being without him as a close confident and best friend,

Very saddened to hear of Andy's passing. Condolences to all of his family. Great times spent chatting about his passion for fishing and all that goes with it. Many memories of meeting him and his friend George on Lough Corrib during the Mayfly. Im sure he will be missed in CYBC snooker room by his friends especially Johnny, Andrew, Eddie and Mick. RIP.

From the time I first met him in 1979, he treated me as part of the family. I will miss him terribly. May he rest in peace.
