I just heard this terrible news. My condolences to Luke and all of his family at what is a devastating time.

My sincere condolences to all the family, it was news devastating to hear. I had the pleasure of working with Andy at Sea. He was a character and a very well liked crew member, through thick and thin he was always smiling.

With great sadness and shock I learnt of the passing of Andrew. Just a few short months ago he brightened our 2nd Marine Engineer Officer’s class at the NMCI and went on to gain this important qualification. What a great professional and academic start to bright future full of promise and hope. This knowledge just amplifies the sense of tragedy to learn of his untimely passing. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends at this time, - some small comfort, I hope, at this sorrowful time. RIP Andrew.

I didn't know Andy all that long. We briefly attended the same school together and I also had the pleasure of working with him. Andrew was a legend. While working together we became friends, and we got on incredibly well. He was a messer with a wonderful mischievous smile. In work we laughed every day, if he turned up, and he was a great man for the stories. He really cared about people, and had an impact on so many that will last forever.
