Angel was a wonderful and inspiring pianist and teacher. I loved walking from UCC to my lessons with him in the CSM. I always came away laughing, happy and with a strong desire to improve. He was so entertaining too. Thank you Angel for your generous, warm hearted spirit and for sharing your musical talent with us. May Angel rest in peace with the Angels.

Our deepest sympathy to Tom, Clara, Aengus and Ángel’s extended family. Ángel was an important part of my early career and we shared the stage for many memorable concerts, especially the night with President Clinton in Dublin Castle. We also toured the east coast of Spain, performing concerts in his beloved Valencia and many other venues all over Ireland & USA. He was funny, excited about all things musical and a passionate pianist. We are sad to see him go and we hope he is enjoying a glass of Rioja in heaven! We will raise a toast to him and, until we meet again, May Ángel rest in peace.

A unique person full of humour and a lover of life, a musician of the highest order on both piano and organ, and a teacher who encouraged and fostered a love of music in his students and those who knew him. His gentle encouragement and love of music has had a major influence on my life and I have always considered myself lucky to have spent time in his company and to have learned so much from him. Although I did not know Angel personally, I immensely enjoyed his musical talent at the Franciscan Friary Killarney on Sundays. It was such a real pleasure to hear him play and his music greatly facilitated the participation of the congregation in taking part chorally. We will miss him greatly.
