Dear Marita, Ger and the extended Colgan and Kerin families,
My deepest sympathy to you all on the death of your much-loved Angela.
I only met her briefly many years ago in Marita’s house in Clontarf on one of her many trips there.
However, I feel I knew her from all the wonderful stories I’ve heard about her: a woman full of joie de vivre, colour and personality.
I hear she was a champion tennis player, golf woman and bridge player. I know she went abroad with Marita and Ger. She really did live life to the full and that must be a source of great consolation to you all now.
One thing I know for sure. She was much loved by Marita and Ger and no doubt by her other niblings. That surely was a big consolation for a woman who did not have children of her own. You all did well by Angela.
I can only imagine Tess up there (hopefully) making a space for her, beckoning to her and saying, “Angela, what took you so long? Come over here and I’ll tell you the ones to look out for”. Can’t you just imagine the chatting and laughing that will go on …?
I wish Angela a safe passing and I hope your sad hearts are eased by knowing the wonderful relationship you all had with your dear Aunt Angela.
