Nieces and nephews extended family and friends of Dear Angela. Her passing came as a big shock, the end of an era that generation of The Curran , Tysaxon.. Recalling visits of many years ago, great fun and laughter and Jack and Jimmy Curran playing music. Angela was so hearty, had great regard for the people of Newcastle and Tysaxon. She is now at her eternal home in heaven with them all. Will always be fondly remembered by her cousin Florrie Corbett O Shea , (Maisie's daughter).

On behalf of the staff of the ESRI, past and present, I would like to extend our deepest sympathies to Angela's family and friends. Angela worked with us from 1973 to 1999 and was a very popular, much loved member of staff. She was a regular visitor to the Institute since her retirement so many of the younger generation got to meet her. We will miss her but will remember her fondly.

We were lucky to have Angela on Reception at the ESRI. She was friendly, considerate and fun. And so switched on was she, that one soon realised that it was a good idea to tell her where one was going outside the office, in those pre-mobile phone days. I send my condolences to her family. I am really sorry to hear that Angela has died. She played a special role in the ESRI where she worked for so many years, helping make it a very friendly place to work. She was always concerned when others had problems and she maintained her interest in those who worked there long after she retired and we were always glad to see her friendly face when she returned.
