Dearest Nita was a force! Funny and loving she was a huge part of our lives. She was our father’s biggest love and it’s easy to know why. Thoughts of love to Jonathan and my dear Tia at this time of loss.
I’ve been lucky to have known Anita since my school girl days at the Cathedral School of St. Mary’s in Garden City, NY. Through the years, she graciously shared her infinite wisdom about everything from her adventures abroad to gardening. Anita was the grande dame of quite a lot to me. Her humility and charitable nature was admirable.
She will be greatly missed by all of us in Virginia. Her love, kindness, and generosity to our family will never be forgotten. She will forever have special place in our hearts.
Deepest sympathies to the entire family, especially Jonathan and Susanne, during this difficult time. May fond memories of good times bring you peace.

I was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of my beloved “Aunt Anita”. She was an important part of my childhood when she lived with us in the Bronx. She adored the five of us, and we adored glamorous, exotic, adventurous and generous Aunt Anita.
Susanne and Jonathan, I am heartbroken for both of you. So grateful to Susanne for finding me through Ancestry and to Jonathan for bringing Anita to Dublin to see us on our last trip to Ireland. May the angels lead her into Paradise.

Sad to hear from Sheila of Anita's death. May she rest in the peace of the Lord eternally. Fond memories of our meeting ups in NY and in Warrenpoint . She loved to chat and catch up on all NY news from Sheila.
My first memory of meeting Anita was on the playground in Bellerose when my so was maybe 8 months and Anita was doing what she does best, taking care of one of her pediatric children. We have been forever friends since. She was like a grandmother to my kids all the time she was in New York I loved visiting her in Warrenpoint whenever I went home. You are with the angels in Heaven. 🙏
Sincere sympathy to Susanne, Jonathan and their families. 💔💔

Anita was very special to me in my early teens. I spent a lot of time with her sitting in the kitchen while she did The NY Times crossword puzzle. Although I was there usually to babysit - I went over a lot to talk. I still enjoy crosswords although do not complete as often as her.
RIP Anita. I will always hold a special place in my heart.
Prayers and hugs for her family.
