Ann, we came to bid you farewell,
Trying hard not to let our eyes with tears swell,
For we knew you, elegant lady, real well,
And the news of your departure like a ton of bricks on us fell.

Thank you for having always been a light,
A friend, Godmother, and a woman of might,
Well-read, knowledgeable, full of insight,
Kind, generous, and for your beliefs fight!

Your voice, smile, and words in our hearts remain,
Beautiful memories we cling unto and retain,
We miss you but we know we’ll see you again,
In the place where there is no sadness, sorrow, or pain.
