Please accept my condolences Ollie and all the Brennan family. I never met your mum though I feel I did know her through Ollie's mobile phone. On a weekly basis over the last few years, Ollie showed/shared with us photographs, videos and stories of your mum. There were even videos of the Brennan clan in sing-song mode. Each and every photo, video and story highlighted how close knit your family is, and in particular, how your lives revolved about your mum. Her life was central to you all. She may be physically gone but you all will feel her presence in the sad days to come and in the years ahead. Your mum will look after you all.

My sincere sympathy to the Brennan family on the recent death of Anne. When my late wife and myself took over Roice's chemist shop in Gorey in 1978, Phil and Anne were the first to call and greet us. I have wonderful memories of our friendship and the nights we spent in the '64 bar and restaurant and the '64 golfing society.

Every week we meet Ollie and my first question is how is your mum, so over the few years we felt we knew her. I was so sad to see Ollie in true grief yesterday, his mum had passed way gently in her sleep. Peace to all the family, it is the end of an era but there are new endeavours going forward and Ann will have a watchful eye from the beyond
