I am so sorry to hear just now of Ann's passing. We worked together for many years at UCC. She was the kindest and most loyal colleague I could have had. A wonderful chef too. Thanks for the memories, Ann. God rest her most kind and loving soul.
Sincere sympathy to the Callaghan family on the death of your beautiful Mum, Ann. She was a lovely lady in every way. I will never forget her kindness to me when I was a student in the Italian Dept., in U.C.C., many years ago. May she rest in peace.

My sincere sympathy to the Callaghan family on the death of your dear mother Ann. She lectured to me in 1st Arts and conveyed her love of Italy and the language to our class. On a splendid holiday organised by her friend Catherine to Italy we became friends. She was a lovely warm person . I also knew your Dad when I was UCC Medical Librarian - he was a regular user of the Hospital Library. May they both RIP.

Sincere sympathy to the Callaghan & Garvey families on the sad passing of your mother. May she rest in peace.
Sincere sympathies to all the Callaghan family (cousins), and extended family, on the loss of your wonderful mother Ann. RIP. When Ann retired from UCC, I used to enjoy calling over to her and share conversation over a cup of tea. As an undergraduate, Ann persuaded me to talk to Prof Des Clarke (Vice President of UCC and Head of Philosophy Department) when I wanted to switch from French to Philosophy but the deadline for switching had passed. It was good advice from Ann, as Prof Des Clarke persuaded Prof Tom Dunne (then Dean of Arts), to let me switch subjects, for which I was extremely grateful. As ever, Ann was wise, intelligent, graceful and eloquent and I always enjoyed her company, especially her dry wit and wry sense of humour. I will miss her very much. May she rest in everlasting peace. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam dílis.

My thoughts are with you all and I’m sending heartfelt love to you xxx
