Mrs Cooke was simply an amazing lady, who along with her beloved Dinny did trojan work for Na Piarsaigh for over 50 years. Ann will always be remembered, not just for her lifelong dedication to the club and the young people of Farranree but for her beautiful, kind nature. It was a privilege to have known her. Very sad to learn of the passing of Ann. Years ago I transferred to Na Piarsaigh from Carbery Rangers. During my first outing, the poor auld country boy had never seen oranges at 1/2 time. Ms. Cooke immediately came to my rescue and said 'you are one of the family now country boy - dig in'. What a truly remarkable woman to prepare oranges for every Na Piarsaigh team.
