One of my earliest memories was when I was a young Cub Scout (probably 8 years old) and we did a trip to Mt. Mellary where we stayed in the old boys school. It was only the second time I was away from home ever. The first was after a serious car crash where I was left in hospital on my own for a night. Therefore that first night in Mellary was very traumatic. It brought back some horrible memories and fears, much more than just a young kid being away from home. Ann was there and took me under her wing. I remember so keenly to this day the care and kindness she gave me.


She was one in a million and she will live on with the imprint she placed on all who encountered her.
