I was very sorry to hear of the sad passing of Ann. She was such a wonderful woman, always positive, funny, kind, gentle and caring. She would always drop into the house in Rockville for a catch up and see how everyone was doing. My deepest condolences to Hugh, Amanda and family and to Janet and Sean. As a member of the Culwick Choral Society, like Anne, for many years, I along with the rest of the Altos enjoyed her riotous and irreverent sense of fun which greatly endeared her to us but which never interfered with her genuine musical talent as a member of the choir. I felt that she was loved by all who met her and will be truly missed. My sympathies to her son Hugh and to her extended family. Ar dheis De go raibh a hanam dilis.

On behalf of myself and my Mum, Dinny, Ann’s first cousin, I would like to add my condolences and express our sadness at this loss. Was there ever a more positive and glamorous lady? Ann helped me out so much when my kids were small and I have such fond memories of her. She shared a love of bridge with Dinny and actually played Cupid in bringing my mother and her partner, Alex together. I will send a donation to the hospice in Ann’s name. May she rest in peace.

Dear Hugh and family condolences on the passing of Ann. I knew her through her friendship with Aoife and then when she joined Il Coro do Italiano. Lots of laughter some singing and chat and tea and cake. She was a lovely lady she will be sorely missed. BestWishes Siobhán

I am very sorry to hear of Ann's passing. I met Ann at some of Marc and Rita's family get-togethers when Ann was visiting Canada and we shared meals together through some of her visits. A lovely woman, so comfortable to be with. Sincere condolences.

My heartfelt sympathy to Ann's family. Culwick Choral trips and outings were always enhanced by her presence. If there were ripples of laughter in the back row of the alto section during rehearsal, Ann was most probably at the heart of them, although not necessarily the one caught! We will all miss her company and her sense of fun.

I have such wonderful memories of Anne with my Aunt Agnes and the times in Rockville and in Greenville. Way back over fifty years. We had many a carefree time and always a laugh. My uncle Gerry Kirwan and Anne got on so well together. Always playing tricks. Anne was such a lovely woman, She lost so many in her life, now she is pain free with them all. She is up there with the angels smiling her beautiful smile. Thank you Anne for all the happy memories.

I was very saddened to hear of Ann’s death.

We had been neighbours for well over thirty years.

I will remember Ann’s great sense of humour which I tested to the limit. Her optimism and grace were a credit to her.

She will be greatly missed especially when sitting out on the lawn in the Summer.
