I was so sorry to hear of Ann's passing. I knew her through St. Matthews FRC when she attended Wellness classes. She was a lovely, kind and funny woman. Sincere condolences to her husband, children, grandchildren and all who mourn her. RIP Ann x

I’m so sorry to hear of Ann’s passing. My thoughts are with you all at this sad time. May she rest in peace.

Nanny Ann was an absolute gem and a legend around our school. For 50 years she was connected to the school through sons, grandsons or nephews. In all that time she attended countless communions, confirmations, grandparents days and graduations All with the biggest smile on her face as the pride of watching her family grow up beamed out of her. Nanny Ann has left a lasting mark on every one who was fortunate enough to know her. Thinking of all those who loved her at this very sad time.

Dear Dennis,

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your beautiful family today.

I have fond memories of going with Mammy (Auntie Madge) on what seemed like a very long bus ride to visit Auntie Bridie. I can’t not mention the singing sessions! ( yes, even in those days! It was not unusual for Uncle Lar to serenade Auntie Bride with “If you were the only girl in the world and I were the only boy”)

When we talked about Ann’s Mammy, during Ann’s and Tess’ visits to Birmingham to see Sean and Sheila, Ann use to say that she had no memories of her Mammy, not even her face. (? Nature protecting her from the hurt). Tess took over the care of her younger sisters and the management of the house when Auntie Bridie died at a young age, and it is a testament to her hard work, perseverance and wonderful care that Ann developed into the kind, enthusiastic and cheerful person that we all came to love🥰.

Sorry that we can’t be with you physically today to celebrate Ann’s life but our hearts and thoughts are with you all.
