Oisín, Darragh, Aoife, Jack, Mollie, Henry and Toby - I'm so sorry that your wonderful, caring and kind grandmother has left us - the world is a duller place without Ann. She was so proud of each of you, never missing an opportunity to let us know what ye were up to! As you now move on through life keep her energy, her caring nature and fun sense of humour alive in all that you do. May Ann's journey to her next experience be filled with adventure and the odd bit of trickery!
Truly sorry to hear of Ann’s passing and I regret that in recent years I did not get to see her and also am saddened to have missed her funeral. Ann and I went to the same boarding school - Brigidine Goresbridge - tho not at the same time. In 1961 and 62 Ann came back to take the lead in our annual operetta productions(I have photos!) and that’s when I first met her. We shared a dormitory during her stay and I as an 11/12 yr old was in awe of her. She was so friendly, lovely and talented. Met her on many occasions over the intervening years and attended her performances whenever I could. My sincere condolences to her entire family at this sad time.

Ann was an inspirational and truly valued volunteer and staff member of Special Olympics Ireland. Henry paid a wonderful tribute to his gran and it was so clear how much her three families meant to her. The hymns were beautiful, and the clapping by Ann's theatrical family as she left the church. Ann brought her own sense of gaiety and drama to our public swimming lessons program on Saturday mornings and her arrival at the pool each week with the special Olympic athletes and accompanying staff was always looked forward too by staff, infusing a wonderful sense of fun and joy in all.
