Derrick and family, I was so sad to hear of your mother’s passing. Although I only had the chance to meet her a few times over the years, I remember her as such a warm and vibrant person, someone who, even in brief moments, made you feel like family.

I still remember the evening she and your father came to our home for dinner all those years ago it’s a memory I’ve always held fondly. And when I had the chance to visit with her in Ireland, I saw firsthand how deeply rooted her warmth and strength were. It’s no surprise that she was the rock for your close-knit family, especially after your father passed.

Please know that your entire family are in my heart and thoughts during this difficult time. I hope you find comfort in each other and in the many beautiful memories you shared with her.
