My sincere sympathy to Denis and the extended Canty family in their sad loss. My frienship with Ann Marie goes back to 1970s when we both worked in Dublin. My special memory is the copy of Saturday's Irish Times that she posted to me when I lived in Canada. A true friend indeed. May she rest in peace.

I had the pleasure of working with Ann Marie for about 10 years in CPC in the 80's.She was a human dynamo full of spirit to get things done [Which she did) A real self starter
She was also a great friend to our family
When moving to Brussels I watched her continued progress, and we kept in contact until recently
She will be greatly missed and we send condolences to Denis and the rest of the Canty family

Sincere condolences to the Canty family on Ann’s death. My sister Elsie Cosgrave ( nee Uniacke ) and I have fond memories of Ann in her early years living closeby on the Corbally Road in Limerick.

Maxie and I met up with her again in the early eighties in Dublin and always enjoyed her enthusiasm, infectious smile and interesting conversations. May Ann rest in peace now.

I was so very sorry to hear of Ann’s recent passing. She was a dear friend to me over so many years — from the days when we played hopscotch and skipping on a quiet Corbally Road, to the fun we had on the train to boarding school in Dublin.

As a child, I always relished an invitation to Sunday lunch her family home, and the great fun of following the beagles around Ballymacreese. Those are memories I’ll always treasure.

Ann O’Donnell and I so enjoyed visiting her recently in Greystones, reminiscing and sharing stories. Everyone loved her passion for the Irish language — it was such a special part of who she was.

Please accept my heartfelt sympathy at this sad time.
