My sincere condolences to the McCormack, Byrne and McGahan families on lovely Anne’s passing. Herself and Dick were so fortunate to find happiness again together, until his tragic passing in 2015. She was surrounded by the warmth of the McGahan family home, and especially by the kindness of Sarah, who always looked out for her. I am sure this was a true blessing to Anne and a great comfort to her sons. RIP

What an amazing woman my Aunty Ann was. We had the pleasure of having her and the lads over for many Christmas dinners, and they are some of my fondest Christmas memories. She always wanted to talk to you, and you always wanted to chat with her. She had a smile for everyone and time for us all.

She taught us simple piano out in Bray, and let the cuckoo clock ring out time after time to our amusement. Her jelly and ice-cream was legendary, and she always slipped a few bob into your pocket as she sent you down to Dawsons on the seafront to go on the waltzers. I will miss her dearly.

Unfortunately, I will not be able to travel home, but please know I am thinking of you all and holding you in my thoughts at this very sad time.
