Our hearts are saddened to hear of Mammy O'Shea's passing. As friends of Joanne, Dan, and Cathal in Canada we've heard many stories over the years and feel like we know her even though we've never met. Her advice is legendary and will live on with us. I most appreciate the times when she prayed for my disabled brother Grant, especially during his current battle with cancer. When I told him of Ann's passing, he said that God is welcoming her back home. We're thinking of you all during this difficult time.

My sincere condolences.
While I did not spend much time physically with Ann, she was a constant guide to many things in my life via Joanne. ‘I’ll ask Mammy O’Shea’ was Joanne’s response to my questions on so many subjects - including gardening, cooking, baking and etiquette. I will miss her guidance but will carry the lessons on.
I hope you find peace in great memories together.

Ann I can hear your lovely voice as I write this and I imagine you smiling down on us all with a certain amount of curiosity in your gaze. My heart sank when I heard of your passing and how devastated John and your children would be but I know for you it was a peaceful way too float away. I have so many memories of visiting Joanne in Castleknock and how welcoming you always were to me, always making me smile with your observations on life. May you be catching up with those who left before you and we will all catch up with you in the future.
