I’m very saddened to hear of the passing of Anna. Anna did classes at Kinsale Pottery and was an inspiration to us all. The horses she sculpted with such confidence and grace were magical and the memory of her making them will stay with me forever! She will be missed xx

An absolutely gorgeous soul. A few brief exchanges in adulthood were always genuine and to the point.Anna was a keen observer and a deep thinker. Listening to those who knew her in adulthood made me wish I had reconnected more as she grew into a truly interesting person. Memories of her in school made me think of this one poem …

I was saddened to hear of Anna’s passing at such a young age. Have fond memories of visiting her with Paul in her place near Saint Finbar’s, and of her smile when I last saw her, at an opening in the Lavit Gallery. My condolences to Paul and all those who are mourning her.

Anna and myself reconnected a few years ago and it was a pleasure to get to know her and get introduced to her lovely son Paul. I was so lucky to know Anna and will cherish our time together always. Such a kind and special soul. Will miss her dearly. RIP.

The Canning family is heartbroken to learn the news of Anna's death. She was my beloved goddaughter and a great friend to Ronan and Sinéad who shared many happy moments with her and with the Barden family in Sunday's Well. In more recent years, I was lucky to spend time with Anna when she visited Dublin. I learned to appreciate her warmth, wit, creativity and courage.
