We have just learned of our dear friend Anna's passing. She touched so many people's lives with her humour and kindnesses. Anna was a beautiful soul, a beautiful woman and a unique person. We have fond memories of her & Brian during our time in Ballyvaughan. Our sincere condolences to Cathy, Tracey and Alex and to their families in their loss. May Anna rest in peace & light.

I first met Anna (and Brian) when we all moved into the same square in the Castletroy Retirement Village in 2018. I quickly came to know them both and to especially enjoy Anna's robust comments on the many issues that interested her. She was a strong supporter of our efforts to keep the Village as a great place for retirees and gave me, and others, lots of encouragement. I will miss her very much and though I don't know any of her family I am sure they will sorely miss her exuberant and warm personality. Please accept my deepest sympathy.

I’m so sad on hearing this news. Anna was vibrant, encouraging, fabulous woman , with huge empathy and compassion. My heartfelt condolences to all her family and friends.

Sincere sympathy to Anna's family on her passing and may her soul rest in peace. Anna was a wonderful hostess when living in Gregan Castle and loved sharing her recipes. She was great company and so full of life.

My first memory of Anna was her giving a spirited rendition of "There is an Isle" to a group of slightly bemused Danes in County Sligo thirty plus years ago! There were many memorable occasions at Gregan Castle where Anna was a great hostess and the food was always interesting. She loved her array of cooking utensils mainly acquired on their annual road trip to France. After Brian retired we lost touch but re-connected a few years ago where we got to see the great care she gave to Brian in his latter years and her pragmatic decision to re-locate to Limerick. We shared memorable moments with them. Anna was so full of life, of stories, there was never a dull moment and always a welcome to Park Village. Books and yarns were swopped! We were so glad to have known Anna and sad now that she didn't get to the final chapter to which she was so looking forward. We know her spirit will live on in your memories and that of her grandchildren. Our condolences to you all.
