Dear McGee-Family,

when I think of Anna, instinctively a smile comes to my face. This smile tells probably more than I can even put into words.
Anna took me in when my au pair family in England put me out onto the streets. She made me feel at home when I needed it most. I was devastated back then because my au pair experience didn’t work out the way I expected it to be.
When I’m looking back on this time, I now know what it was good for. This was the reason why I even ended up on Anna’s doorstep in the first place.
During that time, she cheered me up, we cooked, sang and danced together, we watched movies and had serious conversations. Throughout this time we built a strong connection. Somehow Anna always managed to make me laugh until tears were running down my face and my stomach was hurting. I am endlessly grateful for all the lovely memories I could collect with Anna. She always called me her adopted daughter and Anna will always be my adopted mommy.

Although we knew for some time already that we have to face into this, it was devastating to finally actually read those lines that our beautiful Anna left us now to start her next journey.
It will probably take me some time to realize and accept that Anna’s not among us anymore.
During Christmas she told me that she always thought that she’d be afraid of dying when it comes to it one day, but now where she has to face it, she’s not at all because she somehow knows for sure that something wonderful is waiting for her. I’m also convinced that wherever Anna might now be, it’s a peaceful place without any pain and that we’ll meet again one day.

Anna will always be with her loved ones, accompany us on our journey through life as our guardian angel.

Dear McGee-Family, I wish you peace and lots of love at this time of sorrow. My heart goes out to all of you at this difficult time. I am thinking of your family and sending caring thoughts your way to support you through this.

So shocked and saddend at Anna's passing. She was such a sweetheart, when it was my daughter Amys first birthday 25 years ago, she rang me, asked me to put the phone to Amy's ear. She sang the " Happy Birthday ""song to her! I will never forget it, we were were in the car in M&S car park! Amy was SO happy, very excited, smiling, moving her hands and legs in excitement What a beautiful thing to do! ❤️🙏😊
