Sincere condolances to John, Carmel and Fintan on the sad loss of your mum, Annamay. As many have said here "It really is the end of an era". St Thomas' will always be remembered as Annamay's major project to which she dedicated many years.

Please accept our sincere condolences on the very sad passsng of your Mam. We got to know Annamay from our involvement on the school committee of St Thomas's NS Esker. We always thought that Annamay was the right person at the right time to take charge of our school. A very compassionate and understanding lady.
We were all the richer for knowing her.

It was with deep sadness that I learned of Anna May's death. Anna May McKiernan was pivotal to watching over and guiding the pupils of St Thomas' JNS, Esker, Lucan. I vividly recall her telling the inaugural meeting of the St Thomas' P.A. that the school ethos was learning how to learn, an ethos I continue to follow with my grandchildren. Ní bheidh a leithéid arís ann.

She was the first Principal of St. Thomas' JNS. Esker, and led the School Community for many years. I have fond memories of my time there.

Carmel, John and Fintan I am so sorry for the loss of your Mum Annamay, Michael always spoke so fondly of the summers they spent together in Ballyconnell and Swanlinbar.

I only met Annamay a number of times but I do remember her taking an interest in her childrens friends.
I also thought she took great amusment at the mad antics of her kids!
