Anne Carthy

I am so sorry to hear about Anne's death which I only realised occurred when I tried to text Anne today and my text did not arrive.

She has been a good friend since our time at IBM and I fondly remember many of our regular meetings, just chatting or attending cultural events, including a visit to my home town Bayreuth in Germany and the opera.

Sincere condolences to Anne's mum, brothers, and family who she held in such high regard and always talked about with so much warmth and love when we met.

Anne, thank you for your friendship. May you rest in peace.

I was shocked to learn of Anne's death through the Misean Cara monthly Newsletter. May her gentle soul be at peace in our eternal home and may our all loving, caring, Creator comfort and console her Mother, family and friends.

Having known Anne for nearly 40 years, I got great enjoyment hearing from her of the exotic places she lived, her singular career path and the interesting people she encountered on her way. She met challenges, including her last, head-on with good humour and great efficiency. She will be greatly missed. My sincere condolences to the Carthy family.
