When I met Rhoda and Don so recently in Curam we recalled our Cloghroe childhoods.

In your ever welcoming home,TreVia, art materials covered every space and ye were always busy,bees working on your pieces at that huge dining table.

As for art lessons in Tower Hall, my memory is of Anne smiling encouragement at hopeless cases like me.

Another clear memory is my envy when you all got to travel by boat to London to see an exhibition on Pompei-an adventure

Dear Pat, Rhoda, Don, Iseult, Eoin, Anita, Una and all family and friends of Anne, we are so sorry to know of Anne’s passing. She was quiet, thoughtful, witty, intelligent, often suddenly vivacious, always kind. She always had time to greet the scruffiest students in U.C.C., and library fines became surprisingly tiny when she happened to be on duty.
She was a lovely neighbour and friend.
When Dermot died, she brought rosemary, quoting Shakespeare: “Here’s rosemary, that’s for remembrance…”
We wish her such a tribute.

Anne was a dear friend of my parents, a soulmate to my mother Barbara. She was a wise, warm, witty (with a caustic sense of humour!) woman who also made a difference in my life: I treasure the time I got to spend with her. She was very generous to me - books she gave me have found their way into libraries and the hands of Irish literature scholars in the Czech Republic. (It was also very handy to have an "in" at Special Collections in the UCC Library when doing research!)
They don't make them like Anne anymore. She will be truly missed by all.
I wish I could express myself better, but the tears prevent me from doing so. May she rest in peace.
