Deepest condolences to Anne-Ellen’s family on the loss of such a special person. I had the pleasure of working with Anne-Ellen for a number of years. She was a great teacher. She took her job very seriously and worked hard to ensure the children in her care had an excellent education. We also had lots of fun times and chats in the staffroom. She was such a kind and caring person. She will always be remembered in our school. My sincere condolences to all Anne-Ellens family. My son had the privilege of having Ms. Donaghey as his 2nd class teacher in MNS, hes almost an adult now and has always said Ms. Donaghey was his favourite teacher and hes been blessed with some wonderful teachers but she was always no.1 for him. She was a great teacher, she had such patience with the kids, never had to shout or get angry with them, she brought a beautiful calm to her class and my son still has a lovely Donegal blas on some of his irish words i think thanks to Ms. Donaghey. She provided a space for them to love school. Her class was full of laughter, she made learning fun for them and we will always remember the "Boom chicka boom" song, the kids would fall about laughing, she brought such fun and joy to their lives. I am forever grateful to her for being my sons favorite teacher. I am so very sorry for your loss.
Deepest condolences to Joe, Pat, Joseph and families on the death of Anne-Ellen. RIP
My heartfelt condolences to all of Anne-Ellen’s family at this incredibly sad time. She was such a kind and elegant person, and I always enjoyed our chats in the staffroom. She was a great support to me when I first joined our school and helped me settle in, something I’ll always be grateful for.
One memory that always makes me smile is World Book Day, when she dressed up as the Cat in the Hat. We were looking at the photos from that day in the staffroom recently — a lovely reminder of her great sense of fun.
She will be deeply missed.
To Pat Joe and family and the Mackin family ,Our very deepest sympathy on the very sad and untimely death of Anne-Ellen may she rest in peace and may god bless you all
To Mark, Joe and Maria and to Anne Ellen's three brothers and her lovely mum and precious dad, I send my deepest, heartfelt sympathy.
I bonded with Anne Ellen from the moment I was introduced to her at our school. We shared a genuine love of teaching.
Anne Ellen was an intelligent, highly professional, gentle, caring, calm and fun - loving teacher. She taught some of our current teachers and as we were chatting about her in the staffroom today, I was told today that Ms Donaghey never once raised her voice in the classroom. She didn't need to, she was highly skilled at managing behaviour and highly respected too.
I knew Anne Ellen inside and outside of our work environment and remember her innate generosity of spirit and her genuine delight at watching others starting a family as she patiently waited for one of her own. Joe and Maria, you were everything she ever wished for, and more.
It was a joy to watch her with you both as babies. A more attentive and nurturing mother you couldnt meet. She loved to giggle along with you and had the ability to see the world through your eyes.
To Anne Ellen's mum and dad, I remember how excited she would be on a Friday when you were coming to stay in Dublin for a weekend. You meant the world to her and she told the world.
I'm grateful to have had the privilege of knowing Anne Ellen and I have learned so much from her, even right up to her passing.
May she now rest in peace in heaven surrounded by 'flowers of the May'.
To the Mackin and Donaghey families sincere sympathy on the death of Anne Ellen. I had the pleasure of working with Ann Ellen at the Muslim National school. My deepest sympathy to all Anne-Ellen's family and friends. Anne-Ellen, you were my very first primary school friend, l will treasure those childhood memories. Rest in peace.
On behalf of the Muslim School Community, I would like to offer our sincere sympathy to Anne-Ellen's husband Mark, to her children Joe and Maria and to members of the Donaghey and Mackin Family on her untimely passing.

All the staff of the Muslim National School (past and present) deeply regret the passing of their much loved colleague and friend Anne Ellen Donaghey.

Anne Ellen joined us in 2010 and settled in quickly. Her deep respect for religion helped her to instill in the children a respect for the ethos of our school.

Anne Ellen had a calm nurturing presence, which allowed high quality learning to take place in her classroom.

She will always be remembered for her cheerful attitude and lovely smile, which endured right to the end.

Anne Ellen's greatest wish was to have children of her own and she was so blessed to have Joe and Maria -her two treasures.

We are heartbroken.
