Rest in peace Anne. I am lucky enough to only have good memories of you ❤️ I will treasure all of our conversations, your style advice and the hilarious way you could tell a story. You never failed to make me laugh, sometimes without even trying to. I can still hear you saying “you liked that one eh?” , with a delighted look on your face.
You loved to share a good experience. We met up with you at a restaurant in Spain specially, because you wanted me to try a seafood chowder with a pastry lid that we poured a shot of brandy into. We had a fabulous night full of stories. There was only one shared experience that I didn’t forgive you for….. the escargot at Wynn’s hotel😂 You had great fun, giving us all a pin to eat the prize in the shell. A couple of memories from a stash of hundreds. I will always remember you with love Anne, and can only hope we will meet again someday. Safe travels X
What a beautiful service it was yesterday, you would have been very proud. Rest in heavenly peace Aunty Anne you won’t be forgotten xxx
May you now rest in heavenly peace Aunty Anne .It was A beautiful service yesterday and you would have been proud. You had a great ‘Dash’ xxx poem below.

I read of a man who stood to speak
At the funeral of a friend

He referred to the dates on the tombstone

From the beginning…to the end
He noted that first came the date of birth

And spoke the following date with tears,

But he said what mattered most of all

Was the dash between those years
For that dash represents all the time

That they spent alive on earth.

And now only those who loved them

Know what that little line is worth
For it matters not, how much we own,

The cars…the house…the cash.

What matters is how we live and love

And how we spend our dash.
So, think about this long and hard.

Are there things you’d like to change?

For you never know how much time is left

That can still be rearranged.

If we could just slow down enough

To consider what’s true and real

And always try to understand

The way other people feel.
And be less quick to anger

And show appreciation more

And love the people in our lives

Like we’ve never loved before.
If we treat each other with respect

And more often wear a smile,

Remembering this special dash

Might only last a little while
So, when your eulogy is being read

With your life’s actions to rehash…

Would you be proud of the things they say

About how you spent YOUR dash?

The Comfort and Sweetness of Peace
By Helen Steiner Rice

After the clouds, the sunshine,
after the winter, the spring,
after the shower, the rainbow,
for life is a changeable thing.
After the night, the morning,
bidding all darkness cease,
after life’s cares and sorrows,
the comfort and sweetness of peace.
We are saddened by the passing of Aunt Anne. She was a wonderful woman.
Her presence will be missed, but the love and memories she leaves behind will remain in our hearts forever.
Rest in peace.
With Love, Karen, Paul, Sam & Danielle xx
It is with great sadness that I learned of the very sudden passing of dearest Anne this evening. She was an incredible lady and always up for fun and games. Her sense of humour never failed to make us all laugh. She will be greatly missed.

Sending my most heartfelt sympathy to all of Anne’s sisters, cousins, nieces, nephews and wide circle of friends.

Those we love don’t go away.
They walk beside us every day,
unseen, unheard, but always near.
Still loved, still missed and very dear.
I was so deeply saddened to hear of Auntie Anne's passing. Although it's been many years since we last saw one another, the memories of my childhood summers with her remain some of my fondest. I will always treasure the times we spent together—whether it was playing with Lady, her spirited Jack Russell, watching Bob the goldfish swim in the pond, or those special afternoons she treated us to tea at one of Dublin's posh hotels.

One of my most cherished memories will always be when Auntie Anne would pick us up—her American niece and nephews—at the airport, ready to take us on an adventure. She drove us all around the country, showing us the beauty of Ireland and, of course, making the unforgettable trip down to Kerry. Her enthusiasm for life and her love of travel made every journey feel like something extraordinary. She shared not just the places, but also the heart of Ireland with us, and those experiences will stay with me forever.

As my godmother, she played such an important role in my life, and although we lost touch over the years, she always had a special place in my heart. I feel incredibly fortunate to have had those summers with her, and I will carry those memories with me always.

Please know that my thoughts are with you and the entire Cantwell family during this difficult time. I hope you can find comfort in knowing how much Auntie Anne was loved, and how deeply she will be missed by so many—including me.

Sending you all my love and heartfelt sympathy,
Sorry to know that Anne is no longer with us. Our sympathies to all the Cantwell family. We always enjoyed her company and her own very unique way to tell a story. We will miss her very much.
