Remembering Anne on St. Patrick’s Day.

It was a privilege to have known Anne in WIT/SETU. Whilst we would not have known each other very well, it was always a pleasure to chat about life in London where I was based in the 90’s.

Anne was a gentle and refined lady, and a real woman of substance.

My belated and heartfelt condolences to Anne’s family and friends.

In the early 1990s, Mrs. Gannon was one of my primary school teachers who made quite the impression - an impression and influence that has served me well since. Mrs. Gannon's passing is a loss to pedagogy and education. Please accept my condolences.

Anne has left us all with warm memories which will remain in our hearts forever.
As an educator, Anne has had a positive impact on the lives of thousands.
As my cousin and pen friend since childhood, she has been a part of my life, even though we were separated by over 17,000 kms.
I shall never forget the excitement I felt when I first met Anne in person at Melbourne Airport a few years ago.

Anne and I spent a lot of time together after she lost Kieran but had lost contact since I left Waterford. She was heartbroken for Kieran and i am consoled to realise that they are reunited again. Such a lady. My condolences to all her family and all in Belmullet.
