It is with much sorrow that I have learned of the passing of Anne . Her father Tim Garrett was a valued friend and worker here at Coolnamona House , and very involved in our childhood activities. Through the years Anne continued to call and maintain the connection.

My deepest condolences to Anne's husband Gerry, her children and her extended family. I first met Anne about 18 months ago when she stopped at my gate to chat with me and my dog, while I was out gardening. She was a lovely friendly woman, and when we got talking about the plight of MIC students who couldn't find lodgings, she was listening. My own MIC student was telling me a few months later about her friend's amazing digs, where her landlady was soooo nice and kind....and I found out it was Anne! I only had a chat with Anne again about 4 or 5 months ago and told her this story...she was delighted and said how much she was enjoying having a student too! I was shocked when I heard only a few weeks later that she was ill and even more shocked to hear the sad news of her untimely passing. I can only imagine how much her family and the kids she accompanied to school will miss her.
