What can be said about Anne that has not already been said. It always such a pleasure to go into The Gourmet Store. My most vivid memory was one year when I was celebrating a roundy birthday my sisters and I spent the day in Ennis. We were full of the joys of the day that was in it, that we all wore hats of all descriptions, some so old that did not sell in the shop and still had the old-fashioned big labels attached. When questioned on the streets we pretended that we were in a film! Needless to say when we went into Anne she lit up and had such an extra warm welcome for us. The joy and the laughter filled the cafe. When we had eaten our fill served by Anne with her usual character and spirit we left. Anne handed me a presie for my birthday and for the joy we had brought to all in the cafe. Míle Buíochas Anne and Slán Abhaile. Heartfelt sympathy to David and all the family.

I am so saddened and shocked to hear of Anne's death. I send heartfelt and sincere sympathy to David, Anne's family and friends as well as her many customers, all of whom loved her so dearly. She will be greatly missed.

I was in Ennis yesterday and stopped at the restaurant as I usually do, I was very sad to hear of Anne’s passing. She was always hospitable, kind, and gave a warm welcome to everyone. Rest in peace Anne.

Anytime I was visiting Ennis a must had stop off was always the Gourmet Store. A warm and friendly welcome always greeted you with a fabulous cuppa accompanied by a massive slice of cake. The best of chats was always had and discussion would be had on many a topic. You'd never wanted to leave.

Anne was an absolute lady, from the first moment I walked into the Gourmet Store I was welcomed with open arms, and I knew we were going to be friends. She was kind, caring, funny and had a heart of gold.

I moved to Ennis two years ago and was recommended to go to The Gourmet Store by colleagues. I have since gone for lunch and evening bites whenever I’m in town along with my partner, brother and father.
We all have remarked over the past two years how such a lovely warm woman made our experience even more enjoyable and a pleasure to go into.
Whilst I didn’t know Anne for a very long time, I came to see her regularly and I was deeply saddened to read this morning which is truly a mark of someone unique in their lovely character and spirit.
It was a pleasure to cross paths with Anna in the short time I did.
